Comments: I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. John Whitaker yesterday. I have an existing “old” lumbar back herniated disc which has been stable for 30+years, but after a fall I sustained in late January 2026 I began to have more pain that was affecting my daily life. I grew more concerned that I may have herniated another disc or even possibly fractured a vertebrae secondary to the fall. After talking with a dear Friend and Colleague I made an appointment with Dr. Whitaker for further evaluation. Talking with Dr. Whitaker was a “breath of fresh air “ as he listened to me while performing his examination. The examination was very thorough including x-rays with the results being shared during the appointment visit. Dr. Whitaker took the time to talk with my Husband and I while educating us on the physiology, testing results and proposed plan of treatment. He allowed us to be partners in the proposed plan of care which is extremely important. Being a Nurse Practitioner of many years, I absolutely would recommend Dr. Whitaker when making arrangements to visit and learn about their Orthopedic health concerns, plan of treatment while being a partner/patient involved in their care. Again, this testimony made by myself is a reflection of what healthcare professionals should and can do for their Patients.
I find myself both thankful as well as proud to have met with Dr. Whitaker. He is what a professional should be!
